I am currently on a hunt, for the most suitable skin smoothing face primer for myself. I need something that can fill the pores and lines to prevent caking and make my foundation last longer.
Today I got myself the L.A. Girl PRO Prep HD (high definition) Smoothing Face Primer.
I got this from a local department store here in Singapore called John Little
during their weekend sale.
It promises to help smooth and fill-in lines and pores.
It is also Paraben free which is a plus for cosmetics nowadays,
due to recent scientific studies linking Paraben to breast cancers - so yay!
It's also enriched with Vitamin E!
It has a clear gel like texture and I love how it is fragrance free!
Just like any primers, a little goes a long way.
I only needed a pea sized amount to cover my whole face.
I added and pushed a bit in my lines and where my pores are visible.
It does feel velvety and smooth making it really easy to apply the foundation.
The pores and lines were lessened but still visible. It didn't totally blur it out =(
It did a good job in keeping my foundation last longer.
With this primer, it lasted the whole 7 hours.
Pros
1. Gives a smooth velvety finish.
2. Helps make foundation last longer.
3. A little goes a long way.
Cons
1. Quite pricey for the size. Wish they could have added a bit more.
2. Did not completely blur out lines and pores. Maybe it is best for regular skin.
I still use it to this day but my hunt did not end with this product.
I would use it until it's consumed and jump on to the next best primer I'd find.
xoxo
