Review: Nyx Sculpt and Highlight (Contouring Cream)

For years, I have used make up on a daily basis.
When I moved to Singapore, I started to have breakouts as part of the adaptation process.
So I stopped using make up as a whole.
I had to restart cleaning my face.
A year ago, my face started to clear up, it doesn't look as nice as before, but is better.
This year, I started to wear make up again.







Because it has been a long time, I have sort of forgotten, even the basics.
 So I started researching, reading and watching vlogs. I particularly love itsjudytime on Youtube!

I started buying new make up and I'm blogging about it this time.

My first review is for the NYX Sculpt & Highlight Face Duo Visage
which I purchased from a Sephora store. I didn't find it in their online shop though.
It was relatively affordable at S$15.
They have several colors in this line up so it is quite easy to find what suits you.
I got the Taupe/Ivory.
Rule of thumb is to use a bronzer that is two shades darker than your skin tone.
This makes it look more natural.

I love how it already comes in both the highlighter and the sculpting cream in one packaging, as it makes it easy to to bring along especially during travels. 

This is also very helpful to beginners like me, 

since I wouldn't know which highlight looks best with which bronzer. 

Make up experts(hopefully) from NYX, has helped us make that decision (hurray!).

They've even included a basic 'how-to' in the box as shown in the photo below:

I love that it came with the wand, as it makes it easy to apply. 

It was also very easy to blend and smooth out. I've used a beauty blender to blend it out. 

Here's a swatch on my skin: 

Picture looks darker for the bronzer, but looks lighter in actual. 

The only downside is that, I feel that this will only last me maybe three weeks to a month if I use it everyday. I wish they would have put a little bit more. 

I've been using this everyday now, as it looks very natural on my skin.
I especially love the highlighting cream as it does highlight really well. 

It feels very lite on the skin and does not look cakey. 

The sculpting cream is something I have yet to master. 

But it does allow buildable coverage and works pretty neat too.
